Mikiko Ponczeck

Mikiko Claire Ponczeck born in Tokyo is a German-Japanese cartoonist who is also known by the pseudonym “Zombiesmile”.

In August 2007, Mikiko published his graphic novel “Lost and Found “at The Wild Side Publishing. This, as well as her following artbook was released under her pseudonym “Zombiesmile”.

Mikiko was employed as a graphic designer at Wild Side Publishing for some years, where she was responsible for packaging, letters and translations into German of various comics.

In 2016, she was invited as a guest in German children’s show Tigerenten Club along with pop singer Jamie-Lee Kriewitz, shortly after she won the prestigious German Max & Moritz award for her comic “Crash’n’Burn”.
